Best/Worst of Makeup and More

I post a lot of reviews on here, y'all. And one of my fave types of reviews would be Best/Worst.

I'll take a certain makeup type, like liquid lipsticks, test a ton of them, and then present the best/worst to you.

Since I've posted so many over the years, sometimes those posts get lost in the shuffle.

I wanted to share a roundup of my roundups. I did all of the hard work for you! Which ones have you missed?

Best In Beauty: Top 16 of 2016

It's time for my annual Best of Beauty! These are the products I used the most throughout the year:

Row 1:

Essence Lash Princess--A new fave that gives me crazy long lashes for $4.99

Ouai Hair Care Beach Spray--The best beach waves spray I've tried (that I didn't make myself).

MAC Lady Danger--My fave red--everyone asks what shade I wear, and it's usually this one.

Armani Luminous Silk Foundation--The best foundation for my dry skin.

Row 2:

Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads--Soft skin in 5 minutes

Essie Gel Couture Polish--My nails easily last over a week with this--but you must use both the Essie gel couture polish and top coat--I've posted it on my social media many times.

Too Faced Palettes--I'm posting a pic of the new Peach palette, but this was the brand of palettes I used the most this year.

Davines Oi Hair Care--This is what I use on my hair before a blow out.

Row 3:

Buxom Full on Lip Cream--It's a sticky gloss with a minty feel that looks so pretty on lips. White Russian is my fave.

Hot Tools--I used several of their curling irons and wands the most over the year.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup--I got really into cleansing balms this year, and this was one of many I used.

Jessies Girl Liquid Liner--One of the best liquid liners, only $6.99, that I would put up against high end ones.

Row 4:

Target Up&Up Polish Remover--The scrubbers inside combined with the acetone make this the best polish remover I've ever tried, and I've tried them all. Glitter comes off easily.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Highlight--My favorite brand of highlighters. The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer was a close second.

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb--I don't wear perfume often, but when I do, this makes the list.

Makeup Revolution Makeup Brushes--I loved using this type of brush for foundation, and this brand is super affordable.

Are any of these your faves as well?
Which of these have you tried?

Extra Elle:
Doing a major house cleanup! I've gotten rid of so much stuff and it's not even the new year yet!
HAPPY 2017!!!

Best Eyeliners: Pencil, Gel, Liquid, Felt Tip

Hannah sent me an email asking about the best eyeliners almost a year ago! After lots of testing and research, I've got some of the best eyeliners that last. I tried to be as versatile as possible, giving options of every price, need and type! I left out cake liners, since they aren't as common right now, but let me know if you need suggestions. Everything is linked below.

Best Pencil Eyeliners:

Best Gel Liners
Tip: Store pots upside down to help prevent drying out.

Best Felt Tip Marker Liners
Tip: Shake before using

Best Liquid Liners:
  • Lancome Artliner--Liquid liners can be tricky or intimidating, but this one is easy to use!
  • Maybelline Ultra Liner--A classic, waterproof formula that never lets me down
  • Paula Dorf Transfomer--This is my makeup artist secret. Take any shadow and turn it into a long-lasting liquid liner with this! Sure, you can do that with nearly any clear liquid, but this is smudge-proof. Works well on brides too, especially with false lashes.
  • Lip Ink Liquid Liner--Polyvore wouldn't clip the image when I was making the collage, so no pic here--click the link to see. This is made in USA with natural, vegan, organic, & kosher botanical ingredients. 100% smear-proof, money guaranteed!

Of course, it is impossible to please everyone,
which is why I welcome your favorites in the comments!

Extra Elle:
I usually do my eyebrows myself, but I prefer them threaded. I finally found a place I like in Atlanta!
Thanks for your comments yesterday on my post!
