Reader Request Week: Q&A With ElleSees

Hey you! I had such a sweet and positive response to the first video that I decided to do another one. I'm thinking about making this a weekly thing. What do you think? I admit I wasn't feeling too hot in this one, so it's not as entertaining, but learning from my video mistakes and getting comfortable in front of the camera is what it's all about.

One of the possible entries in my $75 Sephora Giveaway is to ask me a question. I randomly chose 13 of them and made a video, so check to see if your question was answered! Enjoy!

i prefer the old standards from the 50s, but i have a little of everything in my way-too-many-christmas-cds-collection.

fake as a kid, but real as a grownup...i like both

• Now where does the blue come in, you ask? The trip for me was bittersweet. My Lil Sis turned 17. I can't believe it! She's still 3 in my eyes and has exactly the same laugh.
• Also, it was the first time I've gone home since my beloved Sugar passed away. It was always a tradition to stop by and visit Sugar on Sundays. It was just the two of us, and I'd get her caught up on everything in my life. She was always so proud of me (all of us) and my biggest supporter. Then, once she moved into the nursing home 5 years ago, I still made those Sunday visits, every month. I know she's not here anymore, but it's like I still can't believe she's gone. Bittersweet.

What tv family would you move in with for a week?

I always loved the Cosby Show as a kid--I just knew that show was real.

1. Xmas Eve we watch some sort of tv show marathon, play cards, and eat deli sandwiches.

1. Not usually. I shower at night & use that time to de-stress or brainstorm blog ideas. I've currently got over a month of posts queued up & over 100 drafts waiting to be written. 
2. I'm pretty good about not being a midnight snacker, but anything chocolate will fit the bill.
3. Not yet! I was sick & just haven't started. I got out the lights & threw them on the mantle with glittery bulbs. That's it, so far!

1. In addition to the traditional turkey dinner, my brother and sister and I watch the Macy's Day Parade. We've done it every.single. year. since they were babies. They are now 20 and 15 and we haven't missed a year.
2. I have! My step dad and I have ventured into Walmart many a time. In fact, I live in such a small town that people will drive just to see the madness of the shoppers.

1. As a little kid, I loved touring the dairy and the grocery store. Ha! I got to to to NYC in High School and that was amazing.
2. MAD MEN. I live for this show. I'd be devastated if it was cancelled.

1. Yes! Chad Allen--it was a pre-written general fan letter. I was devastated. I only did it because my friend wrote him & got the general letter. I was convinced he would write me back and prove her wrong!

2. Any guy who was a tv star in the late 80s, early 90s (Fred Savage!). I also had a poster of the band Warrant. HA!

3. No, but apparently any friend/family member I've had to share a room/bed with does! My sis is famous for this!

1.Tons! The founder of Coca Cola, many musicians (land many rappers/hip hop/r&b), Dakota Fanning, Brittany Murphy, Julia Roberts, Ryan Seacrest, Margret Mitchell (wrote Gone With the Wind), and so many more.

2. edit: 8 hours for a concert...it rained, it was hot, it was worth it.

3. The new Harry Potter--I had never read the books until last month (welcome to the 90s, Elle!).

4. Snooki--I already dressed up as her for my Jersey Shore party.

1. That I look mean--I'm quiet, which taken be mistaken for meanness apparently, and when I'm concentrating my face looks like I'm mad. People will stop  me in the street and tell me to smile. I'm just thinking, is all! I'm nice, I swear!!!

2. I loved my Yellow Rose bicycle or my Casio keyboard. I loved my 5th bday and my 31st when I had a surprise party. Gosh, there have been so many. I'm a lucky girl.

3. Mad Men. I'm obsessed with that show. Did you read my post on my MM party?

1. Yes! Sarah Ortman, from South Dakota, in 2nd grade. Holla back, girl! I lived in Georgia and wrote her after school ended that year but she never wrote back. I tried finding her when I was in SD once but I figured she's married or something. This was before Facebook, which I refuse to have. Wow, that was long.

2. I had a kid tell me she was NOT sleeping. She was praying! I told her I didn't know people prayed and drooled at the same time.

3. No one, unforch. Does that mean I'm fug? Or awesome? Ha. Hope y'all have a great weekend!

1. I'd want an 80s restaurant--dishes would be named after movies, the wait staff would wear 80s clothes, 80s music would play, etc.

2. Yes! I had this blue shirt that I LOVED. I was convinced it was lost, bought a decent replica of it, only to find it turn up 6 mths later.

3. I had the tape of Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream. I own it in cd form too!

4. My 5th always sticks out--I got a blow up tent and Hungry, Hungry Hippos. I thought I'd won the world. Also, my 9th or 10th bday, because my shirt caught on fire! I didn't have on a bra and was SO embarrassed.

1. I'm pretty clumsy, so there's lots of injuries. When I was in Costa Rica, I was entering a bus when the door slammed shut, trapping me in it. No one was inside the bus who could help me. It took 3 men to pull me out. I ended up sore with some nasty bruises.

1. I never had a summer job growing up--I was always too busy with all of my school activities. I was a nanny to some awful kids once!
2. Movie director Cameron Crowe (Say Anything, Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous, et al). I have a script and book signed by him. Also, posters and stuff signed by various bands.
3. Either celebrating my first 4th in Atl or headed back to where I used to live to celebrate the fireworks in the country!
