How To: Makeup for Fall Ft. Pla Beauty

Hey you! It's almost time for my favorite season: fall! Bring on the darker shadows and lips because I'm ready. Today I am sharing a tutorial doing just that! I had the opportunity to try Opulent: Fall 2014 collection from (Plā) Beauty. I met the founder, Stephanie Green-Bass, at the Southern Bloggers Society Conference, and just fell in love with her products as well as her story. Before I share my tutorial, let me tell you a little more about (Plā) Beauty (via site):

Capturing the essence of every woman, (Plā) Beauty features
  • a specially formulated, high-quality customizable, refillable cosmetic line, which contains paraben-free, hypoallergenic products, infused with antioxidants and hydrating properties
  • luscious lipsticks, glosses, and liners; stunning eye shadows, blushers and bronzers; and (Plā) all day foundations, mascaras, primers, and concealers
  • environmentally-friendly makeup that creates more than just a physical impression
  • an opportunity to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, as portions of every purchase support this wonderful establishment. This cause is a way to give back to the amazing and giving staff that offered words of encouragement and hope at a time when the founder, Stephanie, felt like she couldn’t go on after her infant daughter passed away. I have visited CHOA many times and love that this place is being supported in such a way.
Now that you know why I love this makeup brand, let's see the Opulent Fall Collection:

(order here)
-In The Sun Bronzer - Blazing Beauty
-Cheeky Blushes - Surrender & Divine Wine
-With A Wink Eye Shadows:
  • Vanilla Ice (light nude shade with a touch of shimmer)
  • Imperial Plum (deep matte plum)
  • Groovey Baby (shimmery medium blue shade)
--I was also given Disco, which is part of the permanent collection.
--There is also a gel liner, Noble

(order here)

There are also some gorgeous lip products, like Glam Glosses in Eye Candy and In the Nude. The lipstick in the fall collection is Damsel, a deep burgundy-red. It's a bit darker than it's showing in my pics, so check out the swatches below:

Here are some quick swatches and what I received in my magnetic Pla Book--it also comes with a huge mirror. I've been carrying this around and it's my favorite travel palette. You can fit in way more than shown. Now onto the tutorial:

I patted Disco all over the lid--it's a gorgeous shimmer. All of my brushes I purchased from here.

Next I swept Imperial Plum into the crease and then used a clean brush to blend it out. Brown eyes are going to love this shade. I have been able to get a full day of wear out of these shadows--no primer needed!

I went back in with the Imperial Plum and added it just to the outer "v" as shown. I blended it in slightly with a clean, fluffy crease brush. I smudged the shade under the bottom as well, using a pencil brush.

I used a clean pencil brush and swept Vanilla Ice (totally singing it right now) under the brows as a highlight. I added liner to the upper lashes and added mascara.

I used both blushes, with the darker swept on first (it's wonderfully pigmented) and then dusted the lighter shade on the apples of cheeks.

I love how my eyes turned out! I did a quick dusting of bronzer before adding Damsel to my lips (pics below) but I wanted something a little more daytime, so I added glosses on top. The glosses aren't too sticky and have a mango scent that I LOVE. This scent was influenced by Stephanie's travels to Thailand.

Here I am wearing Damsel and then I lightened it with gloss in the second pic! This is a gorgeous collection and I highly recommend (Plā) Beauty. You can order here (or visit Woo Skin Care Cosmetics in Atlanta, Charlotte, or Nashville).

  30. Yay for the fall colors, your makeup looks gorgeous and simple to try to do with my own makeup, I think I have some similar colors. I think its a great simple look to do for fall, so I'll have to try it for myself. But yeah I'm loving the lip color, it's such a gorgeous red color that I think will go with so many skin tones. I'll have to look up this brand because I've never heard of them before. :)
