3 Things For Soft Skin I'm Obsessed With Right Now (That You'll Want to Try)

Hey y'all! Hope you had a good weekend! Did you do anything fund for Cinco de Mayo? I've been having some back pain lately--I've never had issues there before, but I think I pulled a muscle--so I stayed in and rested.

But enough of that! I wanted to share some things that have been obsessions of mine. I think you'll want to check them out!

AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 SECOND IN-SHOWER FACIAL

The very first dupe I ever shared on here (over 7 years ago) was for a product similar to this one. The original, the dupe, and the reformulated dupe were all discontinued. So a few months ago when I found out this was being released, I could NOT WAIT to get my hands on it. And it is SO GOOD. Leave this on for a minute and rinse away for instantly smooth skin. $6.72

BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE LOTION P50 V

I can't remember how I heard of this product from France, but it's been in the back of my mind to get for a while. And I'm so glad I did. How do I describe this? It's like a more intense and better version of Pixi's Glow Tonic. A cult favorite, P50 is a magic potion that does it all. Exfoliates, Hydrates, and Balances the pH of the skin, it's a prep step before any skincare. My dry skin has never been SO soft, ever. EVER! The original version is supposed to sting like crazy, but I chose the less harsh version. It's pricey at $27, but it's one of the best things I've ever tried on my skin.

LUSH Scrubee Body Butter

I think I saw this on Instyle.com or maybe Allure.com? Anyway, y'all know I make my own bath products (click that DIY tab at the top of the page to see over 200 of 'em) and rarely buy my own. So the fact that I bought this means it had to be good, right? AND IT IS. So this lil bee is part exfoliator, part body butter. It has crushed almonds and coconut shells combined with honey and shea butter for moisture. The body butter part leaves skin feel tacky, like when you apply lotion right out of the shower, but it goes away fairly quickly. Again, a trend on today's post--soft skin--but it really, really is amazing. Sadly, it is sold out online, but you can find it at a LUSH store. And I'm already crafting my own version for when this disappears. In the meantime, I'm heading back to LUSH for back ups!

Mother's Day Goodies From Lush: Mum Gift Tin

Inside this tin are all sorts of goodies that will be enjoyed your mom, your sister, your friend, your friendly favorite beauty blogger (hint hint), ANYONE, especially you--because the kids were driving you crazy and you just need a break! You can add this on to a present, divide the contents up (and keep the tin for yourself, because how cute is it?), or just keep it for yourself. I had fun (and a lot of baths) testing out these, so let's see what I got:

Dream Cream--Excellent for dry skin, or any skin that needs to be soothed. Chamomile, lavender, oat milk, olive oil, and coca butter are in this lotion. It's not too thick and smells so good.

Inhale Exhale Bath Bomb--If you've been reding my blog for, oh, more than 5 minutes, you'll know I love making bath bombs. But I love trying them out even better. This one is brand new (it if says NEW then automatically I need it) and each side has a different scent! One is the Gorilla perfume (think melon) and the blue smells like amber and sandalwood. Loved this!

Mumkin Bubble Bar--I love bubble bars and this one is ONLY available for Mother's Day--so grab one! This one has a fruity scent, but the star broke on mine, which is no big deal since it went straight into the bath. Think raspberries, lemon, violet, and a drop of chocolate. Super cute and I loved the scent. Usually I'm not a fan of raspberries, but I loved the combination of scents.

Secret Garden Bath Bomb--This one is limited edition, and is great for those who have a garden or grow flowers. It smells like roses, and has small yellow rose petals inside! I liked the surprise of the petals and how slowly it dissolved.

Gorgeous Moisturizer--I received a small sample of this facial moisturizer. It features ingredients like orange blossom honey, extra virgin olive and wheat germ oils that leave your skin feeling soft and matte. It has a nice smell that isn't detectable on skin.

Rose Bubble Bar--When I make these at home, they never turn out as pretty! You can easily break this in half or more pieces instead of using this all at once. But I threw the whole thing in! This smells like lemon and rose, but isn't strong on the rose smell. The cocoa butter will leave your skin feeling soft.

The Mum--This one was my fave! Because your mom (I call mine Mama, actually) is a queen, she needs a wand, dontcha think? This bubble bar wand is limited edition, and I need about 10 more of these. A girl's gotta stock up! This one smelled the best to me--it smells like orange, lime, and bergamot, and IT'S REUSABLE! Yes! Like 3-5 uses. Just swish and swirl it around the water, like you're casting a spell. Okay, not sure if those are the "official" instructions, but that's how I did it! Plus, the tag (not pictured) has seeds in it and can be planted!!

Spring Clean and Easter Goodies with Lush!

Has spring officially arrived where you live? There have been teases here and there in Atlanta! "Spring" means two things to me: spring cleaning and Easter! I get that serious itch to start cleaning everything in sight, and luckily LUSH sent me some awesome products just in time for spring. I'm a huge LUSH fan--have you ever tried their products before? Everything is handmade. They use fresh ingredients, little or no preservatives, and they don't test on animals. Plus, they have something for everyone, so enjoy!

SPRING CLEAN

Let's start off with some cleansers to get our faces nice and clean. Have you ever tried cleansers like these? Here's how to use them:

• Dampen your skin with warm water. 
• Break off a piece of your cleanser, and mix with a little warm water to create a paste. 
• Massage onto your face and body, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. 
• Follow up with your favorite moisturizer if desired.

• Dark Angels--Black sugar and charcoal exfoliate and absorb excess oil. I like this best for exfoliating my body. Best for: oily, combo, acne-prone skin
• Angels on Bare Skin--Clay and lavender exfoliate while helping with calming redness. Best for: all skin types, but oily skin will benefit the most. As mentioned, there is clay in this, which can cause breakouts for some, so I personally don't suggest using this daily, but once or twice a week.
• Let the Good Times Roll--This was my personal favorite! Corn meal and cinnamon powder exfoliate, and it smells like butter-caramel! Gentle enough for daily use. Best for: all skin types, but dry skin will love it most! FYI: it does have talc, which could cause breakouts for some.
• Aqua Marina--This looks like a sushi roll and um, well, smells fishy when sniffing the container, thanks to the seaweed, which softens skin. But when applied, you'll notice a little scent of patchouli and citrus. There's also aloe and calamine lotion, which is very calming, making it perfect for skin that's been in the sun too long. I really liked this best on my body. This was the only cleanser I tried that was a creamy, gel-like consistency. Best for: all skin types
• Herbalism--This is a mean, green cleansing, exfoliating machine, thanks to kaolin clay and rice bran. There's also rosemary and chamomile to tone and calm skin. Best for: oily, acne skin
• Cleansers can be purchased for $12.95+ in LUSH stores or online.

Body Butter:

• You Snap the Whip--This is a body butter probably unlike anything you've seen or tried. First, it's black. Second, it exfoliates the skin. Third, it is a solid and not really a "butter" consistency until you use it. It has black currant, pumice, and charcoal, with macadamia oil bringing in the softness. This fruity-smelling concoction best used in the shower with water, as it gets a little messy. I also received a container, which I love for my storing solid shampoos.

EASTER GOODIES

Let me tell ya, being a beauty blogger is hard y'all! I had to take so many baths to try out all of these bath bombs. So exhausting! Just kidding, it was nothing but FUN! LUSH has 8 limited-edition goodies just in time for Easter! Here are a few of them:

Bunny--How cute is this bubble bar? Expect lots of foamy fluff that smells like candy! My skin felt super soft afterwards. $6.95 (you can get at least 2 uses)

Carrot Soap--A fruity, moisturizing soap in the shape of a bunny. $6.95

Fluffy Egg--A bath bomb that is very strong-scented, like candy. I can still smell it in my room! It turns the water pink! So cute. $5.95

Brightside--This bubble bar is my favorite product and I've already repurchased this twice. Obsessed much? It turns the water orange and really bubbly, plus it smells like a citrus explosion, which makes me invigorated! I love using this to wake me up and get my skin soft! This is big enough for two to three uses. $10.95

Golden Egg--I've never used anything like this: think bath bomb meets bath melt. It smells divine--like toffee and honey, and leaves the water yellow. I did notice gold glitter on my hands when handling the product, like for photos, but it washed away. I also had gold in the tub afterwards, but this rinsed away easily. $8.95
