MAC Rebel VS. Wet N Wild Sugar Plum Fairy: Dupe or Not?

Time to test more so-called "dupes" and see if they are the real thing! Today I'm comparing MAC Rebel and Wet N Wild Sugar Plum Fairy.

MAC Rebel:

  • $17
  • Satin finish
  • MAC stores, online
Wet N Wild Sugar Plum Fairy:
  • $1.99 (I've seen it around $1.34 and as high as $3)
  • Semi-Matte
  • Drugstores, Walmart, online

 Swatch:

  • They look similar in the tube and similar when swatched

Side by Side:
  • WNW on your left, MAC on your right
  • MAC wears better/longer to me
  • WNW can cling to dry patches and makes it look darker in those areas
  • WNW however stayed longer on the skin--the swatch was hard to get off!
    • Overall: it's a dupe!

Do you think it's a dupe?
What dupes what you like to see compared next?

Extra Elle:
  • Have you entered this giveaway? It's a good one, y'all. And international!
  • Not much to report life-wise, and that's fine with me. Just late hours at work this week!

  31. When makeup is that cheap it makes me kind of nervous, I am a big fan of MAC lipstick. And that is a great color btw.

  33. Wow, they are super similar!! I had no idea I had a Rebel dupe in my collection this whole time! I prefer the feel of MAC's formula and satin finish, but $2 or $17 (did they raise the price of their lipsticks recently!?!?) when you're on a budget? No brainer... Wet 'n Wild it is!

    Much Love!

  34. I have Rebel and I really love that color! It's good to know that WNW is a good dupe for it, though I am such a fan of MAC lipsticks.

  35. Love when you find a drugstore dupe! Wet 'n Wild is great for experimenting with a shade before investing in a more expensive brand
