Fall Haul REVIEWS: Sephora, Ulta, & Drugstore

Do y'all remember last month when I shared my latest haul? Did you miss it? Let me refresh your memory right here. Since I had so much fun stuff, I just shared it and asked you for what you'd like to see reviewed.

And I'm sharing my reviews today! In the video below, I go into more detail and give y'all some shout outs--watch to see if you were mentioned:

https://youtu.be/QJRvw-Mdsqg

Let's get into the products!

 From Sephora and ULTA:

  • Alterna Caviar CC 10-in-1 Cream
    • Loved this in my hair and it kept it smooth
    • Would repurchase
  • Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub
    • A great lime-scented sugar scrub
    • Wouldn't repurchase, only because I make my own.
  • Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water
    • Oil and alcohol-free, this primer works well on oily skin
    • I wouldn't repurchase because I make my own

From Sephora & Ulta:

  • Dr. Dennis Gross AHA Wipes
    • These cleansing cloths did ok at removing makeup, but felt no effects from the alpha hydroxy acid.
    • Wouldn't repurchase
  • Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
    • An oil-free foundation that's supposed to look natural with great coverage
    • This look best on me with a primer, otherwise, it accentuated all my pores, fine lines, etc.
    • Wouldn't repurchase only because it's not my fave, but I definitely think you should try a sample.
  • "Bairly" Sheer Airbrush Foundation
    • Spray on foundation that didn't work no matter how I tried it.
    • Skip
  • Tarte Concealer
    • Very thick concealer that hides everything
    • Would repurchase
Drugstore:
  • Maybelline Baby Skin Cream Blush
    • I have dry skin, so I can wear cream blushes, but this disappeared
    • Skip
  • Rimmel Brow Gel
    • Liked the formula, disliked the wand--too big
    • Wouldn't repurchase
  • Wet N Wild Fergie Matte Lip Crayons
    • LOVED these
    • Go get 'em

From Sephora:
  • Nails INC Victoria Beckham Polish
    • Loved this coral-orange shade.
    • Would repurchase
  • Ciate Olivia Palermo
    • Love the pink nude and coral (not pictured)
    • Would repurchase
  • Gel Coat Set
    • LOVED these. They lasted and give great natural-looking nails. Your nails but better!
    • Grab 'em
So those are the items YOU wanted reviewed from my haul!

What products would YOU try?

Extra Elle:
  • I've never shared it before, but sometimes I am asked to consult on the creation of  new beauty products. I'm brought in as the beauty blogger and I give my thoughts to help develop products. There's one I worked on a year and a half ago, and it is finally out! It was fun to see the final result in a magazine recently.

  1. Sold on the Gel Coat! I always do my own nails because I just don't have time to visit a salon, and I am always looking for new nail products and colors. Thanks for the recommendation Elle!

  3. What a great round-up of products! I have yet to see the Maybelline Baby Skin Cream Blush by me, but unfortunately I probably won't be trying it because I've heard that it basically disappears on other people as well!

  7. I love how you break down each product and say if you'll repurchase it or not..really helpful for those who can't watch the video! (at work..youtube is blocked..boo!) I've only heard good things about Born This Way, so I'm happy to hear it's not perfect. Now I don't have any problem skipping it :)

  39. Haha, I love that you didn't even know what time it was! That NEVER happens to me, I'm the kind of person that always has to know what time it is, even when it doesn't really matter. Great video again, I'm a fan of the Smashbox primer water. Haven't repurchased it yet though, but I do like it. The sugar crush body wash sounds goooood the way you describe it!

  40. I need a good body scrub my hands are already feeling dry. I think I am going to need to try the Fergie lip crayons.

  42. I completely agree with the Tarte concealer being super thick!!! I have a problem with it creasing big time on my because of that and really showing my lines around my eyes. And I am so glad you talked about the Too Faced Foundation because I always go for oil free foundations because I do have combination skin but I also have a problem with most of my foundations showing all my flaws and I never thought about it being because those areas are dryer and that would be why it does that. You make an excellent point!!! I hate the Dove deodorants. I feel like they don't work at all and I have vowed to not try anymore of them no matter what they say is better or changed.

Your make up looks fabulous in the video!!! And I love your darker hair color you have going on right now :) So pretty!

  43. I love the soap and glory body wash, lathers very nicely!

  44. The only thing I've tried that you mentioned in the video is the Tarte concealer. I really want to try that nail set from Sephora. It sounds like a great set with so many different options and ways to use it and different looks.

  45. Bummer about the spray foundation. I was excited when I first heard about it but I've seen nothing but poor reviews. :/

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks for the shout out and review. Sucks that the wipes were a bit of a bust since I liked the alpha peel wipes.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I went out and bought one of the Fergie lip crayons after watching/reading this and I LOVE it! I want to go back and buy the rest of the colors!
