Must-Try Beauty Buys: August

It's already August, y'all. There are kids that started school yesterday. I cannot believe it! August is also the month that I am done with a bunch of beauty experiments that I've been testing since January! I can't wait to share results in the coming weeks.

I've also been testing LOTS of beauty products that I received for consideration. I'm breaking it up into two parts, so you'll see the other half next week. Stay tuned and let's see what you must try for the month!

Million Dollar Tan Sheer Tan Glam--This is a do-it-all, skin-perfecting, tinted moisturizer. The unique two-side formula gives total control of color intensity while providing skin with skin firming, collagen boosting and fine-line smoothing power for an effortless youthful complexion.

See the triangles at the top? You move the nozzle to the level of intensity that you desire, so you can use this solely as a moisturizer, a tanner, or both.

Here's a closeup of the bottle so you can see the two-in-one. This gave me natural color--it's been in recent pics--and kept my skin hydrated. Unscented and not shimmery. LOVE.
Price: $36 Availability: MillionDollarTan.com

Sugar StripEase--This is a cruelty-free, 100% natural sugaring hair remover.  It was recently launched at ULTA Beauty, so I thought you all would be interested in learning more!
Sugar StripEase is the only product in the market which is made from blends of pure sugar syrups giving consistency & longer shelf life, with no chemicals used in its formulation or during the process the product.

Essentially, you heat it up, apply and use provided strips to remove. I've used this on myself, I've had friends who have never tried waxing use it on me and I've given them some to try. They all reported it was easy. I had no issues using this and loved the results.
Price: $19.99 Availability: www.sugarstripease.com or ULTA

Nano Facial Steamer  I know what you're thinking, what in the world? But hear me out. I have tried the old steaming-bowl-with-head-over-towel method and I'm too claustrophobic to do it. I admit it. A shower helps a little, but it's nothing compared to this facial steamer.

A quick steam with this hydrates my skin, allows product to soak in, and I even use it to loosen makeup. I have bad allergies and this has been a lifesaver! The compact sized steamer uses ultra-fine, nano-sized particle steam to quickly replenish dry skin while simultaneously revitalizing complexion. It's an indulgence that makes my skin glow. And it's pink!! Price: $179 Availability: Panasonic EH-SA31 Facial Ionic Steamer

Whish Body Butter in Black Cherry--This is part of the Soda Fountain Collection. I'm a huge Whish fan, and have shared several of their products on here. This one is no exception. Additional scents include ginger melon, key lime, orange cream. I was surprised at how much I loved the black cherry scent, so give it a sniff if you're in Nordstrom or ULTA. Not a fan of these scents? They have plenty of other ones to try as well as other Whish products. Price: $12

Which one would you like to try?

Extra Elle:
  • I just realized all the products were pink today. Ha!
  • I had a busy weekend--dinner with friends and I had fun at the Sephora VIB Rouge #BeautyBeforeBrunch event. And I locked my keys in my car. A first! How was yours?
  • I'm on Snapchat--I'll add you back! Just search for ellesees.

  2. Cheers to all pink items, haha. That tanner is very intriguing and I really like you can choose how tan you want to be with it. I find other tinted products don't work during different seasons.

Glad you had fun this weekend, but ugh locking your keys in your car. Can't believe it was your first time doing so, I've done it many a time. Thankfully I CAN'T lock my keys in my car now, cheers for technology!

  8. I've used Sugar StripEase for a couple of years - loved it. In my country a lot of girls DIY this one at home, but I just went down the easy way and got it in a jar. :) Now I am very curious about the tanning moisturiser - I think the idea of the dial is brilliant (I know it's not exactly ground-breaking and new, but still... brilliant) :)

I would love the face steamer... especially during cold season :) I always am hanging my head over a steaming pot to clean my sinuses. I know its used for the skin but a double bang for the buck there
