Product Test Drive: Sibu Beauty Balancing Facial Cleanser

I had the chance to review a product from Sibu Beauty, a premium skin care products made from the Himalayan sea buckthorn berry. According to the website, the sea buckthorn contains "over 190 bioactive compounds that restore, revitalize, and protect youthful beauty." These berries help nourish skin, hair, and nails with powerful antioxidants and essential fatty acids, including Omega 7. Sibu Beauty features luxurious natural skin cleansers, moisturizes, and other topical treatments as well as dietary supplements.

The Product: Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser

The Claims: "This all-natural balancing facial cleanser gently removes dirt, impurities and make-up while maintaining a healthy balance in your skin without compromising its natural protective nutrients. This lightly exfoliating facial cleanser will leave your face fresh, clean, and perfectly balanced. Your skin will look and feel radiant."

Ingredients: water, decyl glucoside, coco betaine, sd alcohol 40-b, lauryl glucoside, hydrogenated jojoba oil, carrageenan, glycerin, phenethyl alcohol, sea buckthorn fruit extract (hippophae rhamnoides), sea buckthorn seed oil (hippophae rhamnoides), panthenol, coco-glucoside, glyceryl oleate, xanthan gum, sodium levulinate, sodium phytate, sodium anisate, fragrance (from orange and lemon essential oils

Directions: In the morning and evening apply a generous amount of Balancing Facial Cleanser to moistened hands. Work facial cleanser into a lather, and gently massage onto face and neck. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Texture/Scent: It has a gel-like consistency, with a fine grit to it, making it safe to use daily. It has a citrus scent.

Review: I really liked this cleanser. It doesn't foam, and it's safe for all skin types. It didn't aggravate my dry skin. I found the citrus scent energizing. It has such a gentle exfoliation that I felt comfortable using it daily. It really cleaned away my makeup. My skin felt clean and fresh.
