Ipsy: February Review

Hey you! I'm finally back from my annual trip to the Magic Kingdom. I had grand plans of blogging and keeping up my normal schedule, but the beautiful weather all of the magic had me happily occupied! I brought back a few souvenirs including a nasty cold. I need a vacation from my vacation! ;) I'll share more on my trip on this month's Chit Chat video, so stay tuned. In the meantime, let's get into this month's Ipsy bag. It's a good one!

How cute is it? The theme is #ipsylove--perfect for February and Valentine's! So now that you've seen the bag, let's check out the goodies inside:

1-"Pencil Me In" Cosmetics-Natural Eye Liner Pencil
The "Pencil Me In" Natural Eye Liner Pencils formula is highly pigmented, so it doesn't fade throughout the day and last for hours. Its application is silky smooth without pulling your delicate skin. It can be applied above and below your eye to bring dramatic effects, and to enhance both day and evening looks. Each pencil has a convenient sharpener built into every pencil cap!
  • I got "Amethyst" which is not a shade I normally use, but I really love the formula on this. I'll be passing it on to my mom or youngest sis, who have brown eyes. It will look amazing on them.
2-ModelCo BLUSH Cheek Powder
ModelCo’s BLUSH Cheek Powder creates a beaming, rosy glow to brighten every complexion. The micronized color pigments and luxurious, pressed powder delivers a sheer, natural radiance that lasts all day. BLUSH Cheek Powder's chic compact is easy-to-use and perfect for beauty touch ups on-the-go.
  • I got Peach Bellini and I'm a sucker for a peachy blush with a golden glow to it, reminiscent of that famous "O" blush. I love it.
3-CARGO Cosmetics Mini Lip Gloss in Anguilla
A new generation of Cargo’s lip gloss. Its super high shine gloss delivers intense color payoff and locks in moisture to keep lips feeling hydrated. This longwearing lip gloss has a slick texture that feels creamy gliding over lips without being sticky. Ingredients such as Vitamin E and Jojoba Seed oil help increase lip moisture and decrease the appearance of furrows around the mouth while increasing lip volume to its maximum fullness.
  • The shade I received made me have Zombie lips--just too nude. I might hang onto it to mix with other lip glosses or lipsticks. I know I'm not the only one who does that!! Loved the creamy formula but the scent was not my fave.
4-Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray
Get the ultimate blowout with this multi-tasking spray! The light-weight formula adds volume and texture to hair, while protecting against heat for healthier styling.
How to Use:
Apply to damp hair before blow drying for added texture and lift, or use on dry hair as a revitalizing spray.
  • LOVE the scent of this and it works really well! Since I've got enough volume already, I'm passing this one off to the sisters of mine!
5-Hey Honey Take It Off! Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask
This fifteen-minute beauty mask brightens and smooths skin with the exfoliating power of Alpha Hydroxy Acids, while moisturizing with luxurious honey extract. It instantly renews skin, leaving it refreshed and clean after only a few minutes. This gel mask helps promote a smooth and clear complexion for a post facial feeling. Take It Off! is quick and easy to use, so you can feel beautifully refreshed, radiant and ready to go in just a few minutes.
  • I generally stay away from peeling masks (face is dry and sensitive) but this one was awesome! It left my skin every soft.

Extra Elle:
  • One of the highlights of my Disney trip was taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour. It was a behind-the-scenes tour that was SO good. Highly recommend if you're a fan of the parks, like I am.
  • I became an aunt again on February 13th! I can't wait to meet Emmalyn and get all her sugar!! I'm going to wait a few weeks on that one since I'm sick. She was born with a head full of hair, like me. None of my siblings were like that, so it's nice not to be the only one! My mom now has two girls and two boys for grand babies!
  • I'm about 500 emails behind, plus I am sick, so please be patient with me as I get caught up with emails, your blogs, comments on social media, etc. I love you!!!

  12. I wish beauty boxes existed down here! But I'm sure if they did they'd be super expensive and I wouldn't be able to afford one anyway!
Can't wait to hear about your vacation! xx

  15. This was the first month I was a little disappointed with my Ipsy bag. My bag was different than yours except I got the blush and volumizing spray too. Those were the two products in mine that I loved!

  36. I'm convinced that vacation makes you sick because the body just isn't used to so much relaxation! I always end up having a great time, but coming home and picking something up.
This looks like an awesome Ipsy bag - I'm obsessed with masks and skincare, so that sounds absolutely awesome.
    Feel better, gorgeous! xo

  43. Zombie lips lol hate when that happens with a lip gloss. Excited for spring make-up!

  44. My dad always says the same thing. We go every year as a family (my husband and I about 4 times) and you want to go, do, and see you forget to relax. Corey and I have gotten to where we take a day off each trip in the middle to recoup.
I got the blush as well. I was disappointed at the amount of pigment that stayed on my face even though I loved the color.

  45. Is it just me or ipsy bags are getting less interesting? Having said that, the honey exfoliating peel off mask sounds nice. :) x
