New Dolce&Gabbana Spring/Summer Makeup

Today I'm sharing 3 new products (2 of which I received samples and chose to review) from Dolce&Gabbana. Enjoy.

At the Spring/Summer 2014 Ready to Wear show in Milan, Dolce&Gabbana brought ethereal beauty to light through a dynamic fusion of bold brows, decadent lips and natural hued complexions. Creative Advisor Pat McGrath transformed the models to a mystic like quality by using the latest launches from the brand, set to arrive on Dolce&Gabbana makeup counters in Spring 2014 (March): Classic Cream Lipstick, Perfection Veil Pressed Powder and the Shaping Eyebrow Pencil.

Classic Cream Lipstick
The heart of the Dolce&Gabbana Make Up collection, Classic Cream Lipstick is an indispensable lipstick that's creamy and velvety, with outstanding coverage and payoff. The colors of Classic Cream Lipstick are not only inspired by the nuances of Sicilian roses, but also by the velvety touch of their petals. This spring, 20 new colors will be added to create a palette with 42 shades. It is an exceptional variety as unique as every Dolce&Gabbana woman.

"A coral or berry shade always brightens up a face.” - Christian McCulloch, National Makeup Artist for Dolce&Gabbana

Perfection Veil Pressed Powder
The Perfection Veil Pressed Powder is lightweight, delicately milled and helps to perfect and set foundation for long lasting wear. The powder brings skin alive with a fine, even toned texture to bring out incredible, silky skin that is natural-looking for translucent radiance. The delicate powder works to reduce dullness and shine, while brightening the complexion for a flawless look. Available in a universally flattering line of six shades, there is a powder to suit every complexion.

“An easy way to create dimension and play up the ‘architecture’ of the face is by shading with pressed powder.  Contour below the cheekbones with a pressed powder in a shade slightly darker than your skin tone and above the cheekbones in a shade that is slightly lighter to act as an illuminator/highlighter.” -Christian McCulloch

I received the shade Biscuit, and was worried it would be too dark for me, but it worked perfectly for contouring or for adding a glow to the face. It felt so light on the skin. I really loved this product.

Shaping Eyebrow Pencil
As seen on the Dolce&Gabbana SS14 runway, brows have never been bolder and the look was created with the Shaping Eyebrow Pencil, available in Spring 2014. The sculpting brow liner brings natural definition by enhancing the shape and the density of the brows. Presented in a mechanical pencil format that twists up fresh color when needed and also features a spiral grooming brush on the opposite end to groom hairs for a uniform brow. Once applied, the long-lasting color remains in place for up to 12 hours thanks to its water and smudge-resistant formula. Available in four shades to suit coloring from very fair to very dark, the brow liners blend effortlessly for a consistently seamless appearance.

“Start by filling in eyebrows to the desired shape then gently brush the hairs up.  Pluck away strays but as always, be careful not to over pluck!” - Christian McCulloch, National Makeup Artist for Dolce&Gabbana

I received the shade Stromboli, which was a little too dark for my already-dark brows, but when testing, it truly didn't move or smudge.

  5. I've never mastered the brow pencil, and this seems to be very in right now. Whenever I try, it looks too dark.

  8. Oh the products look great but I'm sure they aren't in my budget. But it's always fun to dream, I think those lipsticks are so pretty and the pressed powder sounds great.
