Pink Golden Sunset Shadow Day/Night Tutorial

I'm forever a good ole neutral eye, but sometimes I want some color. Here are two quick eye looks, one for day and night, using the same shadow trio: Wet N Wild's I'm Getting Sunburned. This trio is around $2-3, and is heavily pigmented, so it's a great drugstore shadow and deal. Inspired by the sunset, summer, golden, bronzed things, and because sunburned eyes doesn't sound appealing. ;)

{pink, copper-brown, gold}
{Feeling the summer vibe yet? Sunsets?}

D A Y T I M E:
{dreaming of the beach, aren't you?}

  • Pat the golden shade all over the lid.
  • Brush the pink shade into the crease and blend into the outer corner.
  • Add brown liner along upper/lower lash line (and a tiny bit of the copper-brown shade).
  • Apply mascara to top lashes only

N I G H T:
{thinking about the beach, aren't you?}
  • Brush the golden shade all over the lid.
  • Apply the pink shade in the inner corner of the eye and very lightly under the brows.
  • Sweep the darkest shade into the crease and bring down into the outer corner.
  • Add heavy brown eyeliner and smudge.
  • Smudge darkest shade along upper and lower lash lines.
  • Apply mascara, at least 2 coats, to top/bottom lashes.

Do you wear different shadows in the summer?

  5. Hi Elle,
    Love this look. Yes, I do lighten up for summer. I like the creme eye color by Laura Mercier. I'm real lazy and I like to apply with my finger. Easy to keep in the gym bag, not brushes required.

  17. very pretty. I love that you use Wet N Wild. Some beauty bloggers turn their noses up to "cheap" brands and I hate that!

  18. Pretty! I didn't think such an inexpensive brand would be that heavily pigmented.

  19. Pretty, I like the soft effect it has. I personally don't change up my eyeshadow much at all, but I'm boring and like a routine. I'm happy to sweep some champagne shade over my eyelids and leave it at that.
