GIFT GUIDE! Cheap Last Minute Gifts/Stocking Stuffers

Happy Blogmas! It's day 12 (remember, I'm blogging everyday, so check and see if you've missed a post!) and today I have more gift ideas to share. Ok, so it's crunch time. Maybe you're invited to a party and need a quick gift. Or the office party. Or Secret Santa. Or a Stocking Stuffer. Or...you get the idea. Maybe you need a gift for the hard-to-buy-for teen girl. Cater these to your style and budget. Feel free to swap out products, as these are merely suggestions. Remember, it's all about the presentation, too. Put these in a cute bag or add a fancy bow. Enjoy!

Idea #1: The Beginner Eyes Kit

The is for the girl who wants to begin wearing eye shadow but doesn't know where to start. The kit includes:
  • Basic Mascara (I like CoverGirl's Great Lash or Maybelline's One by One) $3-5
  • Eye Shadow Palette (Wet N Wild has great pigmentation for such a low price--this one is Walking on Eggshells and is so wearable. And the directions are printed right on the product/package) $3-4
  • Fluffy Brush (optional, but helpful for getting the crease color just right--this one is from Target or ELF for $3)
    • Total: $9-12
Idea #2: Smoky Eyes Kit

This kit is great for those girls attending holiday parties or a night out:
  • Liquid Liner, Elf $3 (totally optional, as shadow can be used to smudge on the lower lash line)
  • Crease and Smudge Brushes, Target or ELF, $1-3
  • Wet N Wild Palette in Don't Steal My Thunder, $3-4 (just follow the directions! I used this palette HERE)
    • Total: $7-10

Idea #3 The Glam Kit

This is another take on the holiday parties/night out gift. Add a sequin dress or LBD and she's ready to go! This kit includes:
  • Eyelash Curler, $3 Elf (I curl 5 seconds at the base, 3 seconds in the middle, and 1 second at the end!)
  • L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara, $5-6 (one of the best volumizing drugstore mascaras out there)
  • L'Oreal Lipstick in True Red $5-9
  • Bonus: add some glitter liner or glitter polish too!
    • Total: $13-18

Idea #4 Nail Kit

Because every girl needs some sparkle! Include whatever festive colors you'd like! And maybe some ideas for nail art could be added on the card. Included in the kit:
  • Nail Dryer, $5-10, online/in stores
  • Red Polish, NYC in Chelsea seen here $2
  • Black Polish, ELF $3
  • Glitter Polish, OPI Glow Up Already (seen here) but feel free to sub with a cheaper polish $3+
    • Total: $13 and up

Idea #5 Reader's Kit

I wanted to include something not beauty-related for this last idea. The kids would like this idea too!
  • Book Light, for those late-night reading sessions, $1+
  • Barnes & Noble Gift Card, $10+ (this one says birthday, but you get the idea)
    • Total: $11+
  • I personally like gift cards. Here are some ways to make them a bit more personable:
    • Candy/popcorn +movie gift card (can be for dvd purchase/rental too!)
    • Try a Starbucks gift card and mug/frapp cup.
    • Ipod case or earphones + Itunes gift card
    • shopping bag+ store gift card (I got one for a grocery store once. I loved it)
    • Manicure kit+ mani/pedi gift card (I only use my stuff if I get my nails/toes done professionally)
Have you finished all of your gift shopping?

  41. I really need that nail dryer... the reason why I don't really do my nails is because it takes too long to dry and those 1 coat 60 sec things are too thick for my taste.
