Summer Week! A Month of Hair Masques: Avocado

month of hair masques: avocado

AND Summer Week begins! I've got some great posts lined up, including outfits, summer* essentials, my summer bucket list, and a summer party! If there's a request for a post, let me know & I'll put it up! Enjoy! Love, Elle

Summer heat is known to sizzle hair, so for one month I’m trying a different homemade hair masque. Some of the masques are ones I've used in the past, and some I've gotten via Google. I wanted to try different, natural ingredients to mix up my hair care routine. Each week I’ll post the materials, method, and results!

Avocado Hair Masque

Materials:
Method:
  • Mix two egg whites & half of a mashed-up avocado.
  • Apply to hair & leave it in hair for 15-30 minutes.
  • Wash and condition.
Results:
  • My hair was smooth! It worked and didn't smell like food.
  • The texture was really thick and gloppy, making application a little difficult. Maybe next time I'd blend it a little for smoother application.
  • I think I needed more avocado since my hair is so long & thick!
  • Would I try this again? Sure!
Would you try this hair masque?
Come back tomorrow for more summer fun & come back next week for another hair masque!

*Did you know seasons are NOT capitalized? So back off, crazy anon troll. :)

  4. Hmmmmmmmm....I like this idea. Do you shampoo your hair after? Or do you put the mask on at the end?
