Lazy Girl's Guide to Cleansing Your Face

It happens. You stayed up late. Maybe it was the kids, or if you're like me, you're up late writing blog posts. Whatever the reason, you're too tired to cleanse your face.

But you HAVE to--clogged pores can trap dirt and oil and lead to breakouts.

So for those times, I become the ultimate lazy girl and use one product and it's NEW: Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub.

I got mine at Target (have y'all noticed how much I've been there lately)? I picked up the new Bioré Baking Soda Pore Cleanser as well. This daily pore cleanser is great for combination skin, but my dry skin loves it as well, and it purifies pores in two days. If you have oily skin, try the Bioré Charcoal Products.

I found them on an end cap display. Let's take a closer look:

These are fun to use because they deep clean and exfoliate skin, thanks to Baking Soda Cleansers

So let's talk about how to use the Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub. This isn't like your regular cleanser--it's a concentrated powder scrub. You just add water to activate it and it will begin to fizz. This is awesome because you can customize the amount of exfoliation you'd like. Pour about a quarter size into your palm and add a little water.

Then you apply it to your face and massage it in. It will fizz and bubble (I'm kind of obsessed) as it exfoliates dry, flaky skin but without over-scrubbing. You will feel a cooling sensation too, which I love. Rinse away, pat dry, and you're done. This is wonderful for travel too--I'm taking it with me on my trip this week!

And there you have it: the Lazy Girl's Guide to Cleansing Your Face!

Have you tried these products yet?

  4. That sounds pretty exciting (and the other charcoal-based one, too). I actually went through a whole year using baking soda as my cleanser and it was rather fab. Not sure we have these two in England yet, but I'll definitely have a look. x

  9. I have a very strict face cleaning regimen because I have VERY sensitive skin. The products I'm currently using have improved my skin tone / texture 110% -- however, they do not fizz and foam like Biore and other drugstore brands do! I miss that!

    Great post!

  16. I just saw a review for this on Emily Noel's channel and it looks so cool! Is it similar to using regular baking soda? Sometimes that's a bit too rough for me so I hope this is a bit more gentle!

  40. I love just regular dove bar soap...for sensitive skin! And for your cold, try some Greek lemon chicken soup. Yum!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh no, I hope you kick that cold soon! That cleanser sounds really fun to use. I'm pretty good about washing my face every night, although when I'm really tired I am so thankful for face wipes to do the job quickly!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love powder cleansers, but until now, I've only seen expensive brands do them. So glad Biore has one now!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I bought the cleanser thinking it might be a somewhat natural cleanser since it has baking soda. It has the WORST, STRONGEST medicinal smell to it!!! It is so strong, I can smell it for the rest of the day! I used it twice & gave it away. There is no reason for it to smell so much. Baking soda doesn't smell. Plus, after only those 2 uses my face broke out something awful. Terrible product. Do not buy!

  44. I've been wondering about this but now I REALLY want to try the scrub!!! It sounds fun! lol

    ReplyDelete
  45. I like lazy lol. I currently use a new Clean and Clear face scrub which I love but I have to try Biore next. I hope by now your cold is gone and your trip went without a hitch, Elle.
