Check Out PicMonkey for Your Holiday Photos!

We all know one of the most important aspects of a good blog is the pictures. I used to take pics with my phone (yikes) and never edited them. I get asked often what I use to edit my photos. And the answer is simple: PicMonkey.

PicMonkey is a free online picture editor. It allows you to take pics from good to great in a user-friendly format. It's so easy to use and has tons of options. You can have a beautiful picture in just minutes. And it's fun!

I admit--I've tried other programs in the past and found them either too intimidating or too expensive.  While PicMonkey does have special paid features for an affordable monthly fee, most everything you'll need is free. I was able to play with the Royale features for this post! All you have to do is select a picture! Let me share an example with my favorite subject, Charlie.

Adorable, right? But this hardly looks like a Christmas card. Let's lighten things up a bit and resize--I use this for so many of my pictures. I could also crop, but I'm keeping it as is for the moment! Of course PicMonkey has those standard editing features I just mentioned, but there's so much more! While I find the site easy to use, there are tutorials to give you guidance and ideas. I'm only mentioning a few of the options you can play around with to make your pictures pop, whether for your blog, yourself, or for special occasions.

PicMonkey has seasonal sections, like Winterland. I decided to use Santaland--full of fun features to decorate your pics. I added a Santa hat, a background, and text. It took all of 5 minutes and was so easy!

Look at that sweet face! I hope you'll stop by PicMonkey and give it a try. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

  15. I've paid for the Royale option, just for fun, I got it discounted at some point. But there's a full free another one, www.befunky.com, they got some funny stuff there as well, similar to Picm.

  23. Cute! I am definitely trying this out! I tried Fotor for a little while and liked it for creating quick photo collages, but they've changed things and I can't figure it out. I love how easy this looks to use!
