Cheap Treats: The Perfect Holiday Polish (N.Y.C. in Chelsea)

When do you start decorating for the holidays? Is the tree up before the turkey's cold? I make myself wait until a couple of days after Thanksgiving. I like to decorate my nails too! With all of those holiday parties, and I think I've found the perfect polish. It's an excellent choice when you want more than just regular red, but don't want all that glitter. It has just a bit of shimmer that shines when the lights hit.
For this week's Cheap Treat, I'm sharing N.Y.C. In a New York Minute Quick Dry Polish in Chelsea. It's around $2, dries fast, and is a much cheaper alternative to other polishes, like OPI's You Rock--Apulco Red. Here's an EXTREME CLOSEUP (woo!):
It's a candy apple red with a subtle shimmer and it only needs two coats. With clear coat (not pictured), it's  chip-free for at least a week or two. I just adore it!

What polishes do you wear for the holidays?
What Cheap Treats have you been loving lately?

  1. Chip free for that long for only $2!! That's crazy...

I'm the nail chipping queen so I opt for the $30 Shellac manicure. The UV gel polish lasts a good 2 weeks.

Maybe for the holidays I should eliminate this unnecessarily expensive habit. Sigh...

  32. What a cute colour - unfortunately, I don't think I've ever seen that brand here in New Zealand (what can I say? Cheap make up just doesn't seem to make it to our shores).
