How To: Mini Spa Time

Sometimes you just need a break from it all and a little pampering. But time and money aren’t always on your side, so here’s how to have a mini spa at home, for cheap and in 30 minutes. Remember, you're just getting the essentials: body, face, feet, and hair. Now lock the kids out of the bathroom and get ready to feel refreshed!

Hair: Claire from the Daily Claire turned me onto coconut oil and I cannot sing enough of its praises! Heat up the coconut oil and place onto hair. Leave a minimum of 30 minutes and rinse out.

Body: If you have time to indulge in a bath, try soaking in a milk bath. Add 2 cups of powdered milk and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. You can exfoliate skin with my Brown Sugar Scrub recipe.

Face: Dampen a hand towel and heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds-1 minute. Allow the towel to cool off if too hot. Apply the towel to your face and let the steam do its magic. Leave for 5-20 minutes. Resist urge to fall asleep.

Feet: On clean feet, rub zit pads all over. The pads have salicylic acid which exfoliates feet in a hurry. Slather on your fave foot lotion and some socks to keep moisture in.

  13. the powdered milk, why didn't i think of that??? sounds like an awesome idea!!! so doing that for my next bath, thanks for the tip :) great post..i love coconut oil, gives great shine to the hair, but sadly i learned that it irritates my scalp (learned the hard way, ouch! doesn't affect the rest of my body adversely, so odd!)
