Meet Elle's Mascot: Charlie

Introducing Charlie!
Y'all, I haven't had a dog since 1987. The last pet I had was a fish (RIP Captain Crunch!). I like animals but don't consider myself an "animal person." In fact, I found it weird when people call their pets their "kids" and let the dogs kiss 'em on the mouth. Ok, that last part is still weird. Lo and behold, Charles Salvatore Bartholomew (Charlie...I'm just kidding with the formal name) came into my life. Call it kismet; I became the proud owner of Charlie on my birthday. I'm completely smitten.
Look at that face!
My friend Tiffany called and said she saw someone stop a car in the middle of the road, open the door, and toss a dog out. Being the dog fanatic she is, she immediately grabbed the dog. He was scared, shaking, fur matted and under fed. Since I'm literally (I'm serious) the only friend of hers without a pet, she called me and asked if I wanted to take him. I didn't hesitate and said yes. It felt right.
He likes fashion, just like Mom!
The second I met him, he came right to me, as if he'd been mine always. After a trip to the vet and a trip to the groomer, Charlie was declared healthy and adorable.
Smiling on the day I got him.
Charlie likes to hump towels, tear tissue, doesn't like me on the computer, and probably thinks his name is "No" since he's heard that often. He is friendly, cuddly, and so lovable. Don't you agree?
How many pets do you have? Do you consider your pets to be your "kids"?

  5. What a little cutie you found!

My puppy is my baby, and hubs even calls him son. So I can relate to the pets=kids idea. Just wait until Christmas comes around and you spend just as much on him as you do anyone else. Or is that just me?

  10. I was never a cat person until I had Fable, so I understand this concept.

However, I can easily see how you can fall in love with this cute face.

  12. What a horrible story, but glad that he found his way to you!

I am dog obsessed. My little man is DEFINITELY my kid (or my fur baby as I call him, as opposed to a skin baby, which some people think is gross).

    Cute little guy!
