I can't always put everything I want into one post, so I like to include little bits of my life called Extra Elle. Here's a peek into my life lately:
Summer to Fall:
- Coming to y'all live from September 1st. I'm still in disbelief myself.
- I'm SO ready for fall. It's my favorite season, but it's a pretty brief one here in Atlanta.
- Part of me is still burning all the summer candles and wondering how summer flew by.
- Still loving the photos in the series California by Jane Wilder. Look 'em up. Dreamy summer.
What I Watched:
- Finally, finally saw Stranger Things this weekend. Loved it, and I'm not really a sci-fi/paranormal kind of girl. Immediately had to track down the filming locations, since it's filmed here in GA.
- I love the show Botched, and have been enjoying the Botched by Nature show as well. Those surgeons are truly gifted.
What I Did:
- Sorry, August babies, but it's not my favorite month. I get this kind of seasonal depression. Hard to describe, but it usually happens. But this year, it wasn't so bad.
- I went to Charleston for a blogger conference, I went back home for my nephew's 7th birthday, I got to speak on a social media panel (STILL excited over that) and got to dip my toes in the ocean. I can't wait for what this month brings.
How was your August?
Thanks for sharing! I am tempted to watch Stranger Things because everyone has been talking about it.

I feel the same about August. I think it's just being tired of the hot and humid weather and not being able to do as much outside. Hopefully it'll start to cool down! Dan started watching Stranger Things but I don't like scary things ;) I heard a few scenes though and it sounds like they're always looking for Will...
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite season too but we really don't get much of it down here in FL. It's the one time I missing living up north! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteWe just binged watched Stranger Things over the weekend and I cannot wait for the next season! I'm holding onto summer but in some ways I'm ready for fall too! Have a great day!

August used to be my favorite month, I don't know why, but it's like you said, now it's like "the end of an era", or more a season and with it, comes nostalgia :) Summer officially ends on Sept 21st or 23rd, but the "Sept 1st" is a milestone and I am glad you enjoy fall! I love Fall as well! Ah, I also like Botched!

I binge-watched Stranger Things just recently. That is one kick ass show and now can't wait for Season 2.
ReplyDeletePS I'm the opposite. I get SAD during September although I like fall fashion:(

Bring on all things fall . . . I super excited to be able to have my windows open and the AC off here soon! I agree - wish it were longer here in GA!
ReplyDeleteI loved Stranger Things too and I'm so sad that the summer is over! Its never long enough! I do like the fall though just not the cold winter.
ReplyDeleteI like Botched by Nature... it seems more productive. Real life instead of people just wanting plastic surgery for vanity purposes.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's September, either. WOW summer just flew by.
ReplyDeleteAnd how good was Stranger Things?! Love it, too!

Yay a Stranger Things fan! I have literally watched everything I wanted to and there's this awkward void until fall shows start up and now I have nothing to watch. (; Yes, HOW IS IT SEPTEMBER?!
ReplyDeleteSo was Stranger Things scary? I'm not one that likes scary shows or movies, but I want to give it a try based on the fact that everybody seems to be obsessed with it! And I'm totally burning a fall candle tonight when I get home!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to bust out my fall candles, although the summer ones do smell so good, too!
ReplyDeleteYou had a great August hun, mine was good and I LOVE stranger things too!! Cant wait for next season :) xx

I seriously can't believe that it's September already. I love fall as well and I hope it will be a decently long one in NYC this year.
ReplyDeleteI binge watched stranger things while i was in the hospital and i absolutely loved it too! And I'm not normally a big sic fi fan either. Cant wait for season 2!
ReplyDeleteI am an August baby but I am not a love of the summer heat! I am so ready for fall!!! You know...when it comes in November down here. Ha! I tried to watch Stranger Things but I couldn't get in to it. Glad you liked it!
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, I was kind of blah about this August as well... let's blame it on the heat?
ReplyDeleteI need to get on Stranger Things! It's on (very, verrry long) MUST WATCH list!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's September already! Where does the time go?! And I really enjoyed Stranger Things too!

Happy September! I can't believe it's here either... crazy. I never really used to be much of a fan of August either (the heat...ack!!) but since my little guy's birthday is in August it's grown on me :)
ReplyDeleteRight, where did August go?! Summers seem to go by faster and faster each year. I don't know if I'm quite ready for it to end, but I do love the fall season. Happy September!

I'm wondering how summer flew by too!
ReplyDeleteseriously, where did summer go???? i guess with more schools going year-round now, the summer breaks really are shorter.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a couple of episodes to get into Stranger Things but then wham! I was hooked! I also loved The Get Down.. Eek, September!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Stranger Things was filmed in GA. I really liked it too! Why can't fall last longer in this part of the country???
