The key here is The Big Shot: a fully-loaded brush with deep pocket bristles--that means root-to-tip in just one dip. Quick application--I'm liking this already.
Consider this the gold standard (see what I did there?) for big lashes. I know I'm enjoying it so far, but the jokes I'll keep working on. It reminds me of a higher-end mascara, like YSL. Want me to do a dupe or not on that?
Here's my makeup at the end of the day--I only reapplied lipstick for this shot (I was too tired to redo my foundation) and used artificial lighting, but the mascara stayed put.
Formula-wise, I love that it doesn't get clumpy (this did happen if I rushed) and dries instantly. It gives great length to my lashes without making them feel heavy--I know a lot of y'all would try it just for that reason. I don't think it makes me lashes look fake or too dramatic, just really pretty, if that makes sense.
Wear Time--My biggest complaint with Maybelline mascaras is that they usually flake off during the day. This one thankfully doesn't. Here's my testament to the wear time: I applied my makeup at 6am for my nephew's party at noon (I had a 5 hour drive). It lasted the entire windy day of chasing around little ones. And going up and down the bouncy slide, I might add.
It has lasted me through my day job, where I take care of two little girls who are constantly bumping into me when I'm on the floor with them, or pawing at my face. This mascara didn't irritate my super-sensitive eyes.
Removal--I do need makeup remover to remove it, but it's nothing like a waterproof mascara.
I'm pleased with wearing the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot mascara and can't wait to update this post once I have more info! So far, I've heard it will be released at the end of the year, so be on the look out!
