Outfit of the Week: One Dress, So Many Possibilities

Elle's Note: For some reason, my comments were off last week, so if you wanted to comment on last week's Outfit of the Week, click here.

A great summer and traveling staple is the Maxi dress. It's so versatile and can styled so many ways. One way to do that is the ever-popular statement necklace. Below are 6 options:

So which number did I choose? See how I styled it:

I chose necklace #6!

  • I started off with this Forever 21 super cheap maxi dress. It's $30 and so different than a basic black Maxi.
  • The necklace and bracelet are both Harajuku Lovers. I like how they're chunky and funky.
  • The yellow stone sandals are a nice complement to the blue and are echoed in the necklace/bracelet.
  • The raspberry pink lips are just too luscious.
  • As is the toe color.
  • The second I saw this dress I pictured beachy waves, like Gisele's. I would use my Sunsilk wave spray (which I've featured before) and I can't wait to get my hands on this round curling iron.
Which necklace did you pick? How would you style this dress?
PS--I have a new GIVEAWAY!

  33. Yes, yes, yes! You can't go wrong with a maxi dress! Last summer I bought two from Old Navy, and since I used a couple of coupons they ran up at $5 a piece. $5 each!? Granted, they're not the best quality, but the black one is one of my favorites.

And thanks for stopping by my blog, by the way. :) (The owner had read a review I'd written on his restaurant.)
