My hair won't curl with anything less than 390 degrees, and 410-420 seems to work best for me. I have a T3 curling iron but never use the clip and it's one of the best purchases I ever made. Depending on the look I'm going for, decides which wand I use, but I love them both. They are both tapered and both heat to 410.
